For a game where most gamblers rarely consider good luck, there are lots of folklore in poker. When you say that someone was blessed in that poker tournament they captured, be careful of how you say it. For instance, if you say that you were unlucky, your chances may not change.
Ok, that might appear to be a bit ubsurd, but poker is a game loaded with superstitions. Did you know that if you’re betting a game with two different decks and you are asked to select the deck, you should always choose the deck of cards that is the furthest away from you? Or, how about If you have a run of poor cards, you need to hang out on a hankerchief to break your horrible luck? It’s certainly considered good fortune to blow through a deck of cards when they are being randomized.
Some other fascinating poker superstitions are:
- You might be able to change the run of cards by walking around your chair three times.
- The most beneficial chair at the poker table faces the entrance.
- The unluckiest spot has its rear to a fireplace.
- When switching chairs, you really should constantly do so following the clock.
- The worst poker card is the four of clubs.
- It’s most unfortunate to cross your legs when sitting at the poker table.
- Friday is a horrible day for gambling on cards.
- The thirteenth is also a terrible day, regardless of what day of the week it is.
