Have you noticed the new PokerPro hold em poker tables? The first time I saw the PokerPro tables was about 2 weeks back when I took a brief holiday with my parents to the WinStar Gambling establishment in Oklahoma.
As I waited for my name to be called at the live tables, I observed how the other persons around the PokerPro tables interacted with each other. It was pretty fascinating to say the least. Since the poker table was controlled by a computer, there were no clay poker chips to do any chip tricks, no cards to shuffle and the actual live encounter was stale. Maybe I was the only one that spotted this, but I did observe the gamblers on the table had a lifeless quality to them. The reason behind this may be since there was no human conversation with the croupier, the ambiance was rather boring and the gamblers looked bored to death. It was nearly as if I was looking at a live variation of a web-based holdem poker room rather than being seated with warm blooded humans. It was a little freaky and I kept flashing back to an episode of The Next Generation and the holodeck malfunctioned.
Since the waiting time for the are living tables was over an hour, I decided to see how the game play was and to experience this new texas hold’em poker gaming technologies. Right after wagering a few hands, I genuinely felt like I was wagering at house. The lack of activity in the table was the main reason. I like to shuffle my chips, stack my chips, and mix my cards around. None of those things are possible at these electronic tables.
One more thing I observed was how the computer dealt the flop, turn and river cards. I played a great deal of hands in the PokerPro table and noticed that the wager on was a great deal like a web-based texas holdem poker website. That could have been just a coincidence, but I discovered it to become quite odd.
After betting a couple of rounds with this "new texas hold em poker technology", I determined that the PokerPro tables were not for me. I’m much better off playing texas hold’em poker on the internet at house and not travel the distance. If WinStar Gambling den had been to receive rid of the stay poker tables, I think they would loose a lot of gamblers.
