Hold’em is simply about individuals and position. All rounded Holdem players agree that seating in no cap Texas Holdem is fundamentally important. Playing your hole cards in late spot can be much more beneficial than in starting poker spot. This is due to the fact that much more info is amassed before acting.
e.g., I played in a $1-$2 no limit cash round at a local poker room. I came in with 2, 9 unsuited on the dealer button, so I could partake in some action. Flop came down A-A-4. A player in starting spot placed a fifteen dollar bet. 2 entrants fold and it was my turn to act. I should have folded, but his play seemed a little odd. I labeled this guy as a weak-tight guy, and normally if he held the biggest hand he would just check, so I called.
The turn arrived with a 7, making it A-A-4-7. My opposer placed an additional wager of $20. I hesitated a little bit, but took a chance to re-raise another $30thirty dollars on top of his $20. He folds and I won the cash.
Sitting at late position gives you an insight into where you stand by seeing how other individuals react and bet. On the flip side, people at starting spot may use their poker position to check-raise the last seated aggressors and corner them afterwords at the end. In Holdem, each spots, late and starting must be wagered carefully.
